A thousand years ago, two young lovers were betrayed--Alger Waterlow to his death, and Hanalea, Queen of the Fells, to a life without love.
Now, once again, the Queendom of the Fells seems likely to shatter apart. For young queen Raisa "ana'"Marianna, maintaining peace even within her own castle walls is nearly impossible; tension between wizards and Clan has reached a fevered pitch. With surrounding kingdoms seeking to prey on the Fells' inner turmoil, Raisa's best hope is to unite her people against a common enemy. But that enemy might be the person with whom she's falling in love.
Through a complicated web of lies and unholy alliances, former streetlord Han Alister has become a member of the Wizard Council of the Fells. Navigating the cut-throat world of blue blood politics has never been more dangerous, and Han seems to inspire hostility among Clan and wizards alike. His only ally is the queen, and despite the perils involved, Han finds it impossible to ignore his feelings for Raisa. Before long, Han finds himself in possession of a secret believed to be lost to history, a discovery powerful enough to unite the people of the Fells. But will the secret die with him before he can use it?
A simple, devastating truth concealed by a thousand-year-old lie at last comes to light in this stunning conclusion to the Seven Realms series.
Sweet Lady in chains! where should I start? Cinda Williams Chima's exceptional conclusion to the Seven Realms series is just unforgettable! The Crimson Crown excels among the sea of 2012 YA releases, and the whole Seven Realms series is just a magnificent work of YA literature that will blow every reader's mind!
In this final epic conclusion thing are more complicated than ever before. Raisa is now queen of the Fells and Han Alister is her personal bodyguard. Yet, the Bayars are still plotting against our two beloved characters and Arden is restless and ready to take, even by force, the Gray Wolf Throne. The Queendom is still divided. Wizard and Clan seems to go nowhere together and Raisa's dream to unite her people and lands remains an impossible task. And do I need to mention the romance? Good lord! The romance is so powerful, breathtaking, heartbreaking and incredible sweet and delicious! Cinda Chima knows very well how to make readers sigh! But, it is not easy. Han and Raisa were never so close yet so far at the same time.
It's unbelievable how much I got to love this series. These books have so much to offer and I recommend them to everyone seeking an outstanding fantasy read! And you know what? I got to love this story so, so much that once I read the final page, I couldn't help but tightly hug this book against me. I felt so sad and happy at the same time. I was overwhelmed by such epic finale yet sad and unwilling to let go, unwilling to say goodbye.
Somehow, I am still unable to believe that this is over... but... oh sweet Lady! it seems it's really over... sniff. I didn't wan to finish this book. I wanted to keep turning pages forever, hoping I could somehow get lost into its pages and remain in the world of the Seven Realms forever. But I reached the last page of this marvelous adventure. This mind-blowing story that gave me so many hours of enjoyment is really over. It's really sad to let go of these books, but at the same time, I am very satisfied. Cinda Williams Chima put all her heart into this series, and it shows!
So, my dear readers, if you already have read these books, you know very well what I've been talking about, if you haven't read them, then don't waste any other second and go read them asap! Finally, I'd like to thanks Cinda Williams Chima and all the people responsible for publishing the Seven Realms series. You have no idea how much I love these books that I will forever treasure in my collection! ❤

Your review describes so much of how I felt about the previous books, not wanting them to be over, hugging them tightly, all that. Oh yes, I LOVE this series! I preordered this one so hopefully it ships fast, I'm DYING to read it, but I don't want it to be over! This is really the end and that makes me sad. But yet I'm anxious for them to get their happy ending. I'm glad it wasn't a disappointment, I guess that's always the worry with the last book in a series. Awesome review! You have just made me even more excited!
You're killing me here, Natalia! I ADORE ADORE ADORE this series and I SO desperately want to read this book even though I don't want this series to be over. Good job my copy has been shipped last week so I should get it soon.

OMG this series rocks on so many levels! I haven't read book 3, but only because I was waiting for this last one! I've even set aside a whole week in December to read and review the entire series ♥
Great review as always! :D
Each time I saw a book in this series come out, I'd think I should start the series but by the third I passed it over, figuring it was too late. I didn't know if it would be worth picking up for a purely pleasure read, since that's all it would be now (like that's a bad thing, ha - a blogger's lament), but your love for the series just shines through in your review. I'm seriously reconsidering.
I so can relate to the end-of-series trauma. Three of the series' that I've been following with joy for years will all end in 2013 and I may need to join a support group to get through it.
Wonderful review!
Wow, that cover is seriously freaky. I can't believe you love this series so much and I've never even heard of it. I must be living on a different planet.
But sheesh, I love the music in the trailer. That ALONE would make me want to read it.
