When you can see things others can't, what do you do when someone's watching you? Everybody knows about Clarity "Clare" Fern. She's the psychic girl in school, the one who can place her hands on something and see hidden visions from the past. Only Clare would rather not be a celebrity. She prefers hanging back, observing. Her gift is not a game to her. But then someone starts playing with her head . . . and heart. Messages and gifts from a secret admirer crop up everywhere Clare turns. Could they be from Gabriel, the gorgeous boy who gets Clare's pulse racing? Or from Justin, Clare's hopeful ex-boyfriend who'd do anything to win her back? One thing is certain. Clare needs to solve this mystery, and soon. Because the messages are becoming sinister, and a girl in town has suddenly disappeared

Highly Engaging and Dynamic!

Perception by Kim Harrington is engrossing and dynamic! This mix of contemporary mystery with a paranormal twist will be swallowed by readers in just one seat!

In this enjoyable page-turner, Clare deals with a new unexpected popularity in school  born from the past and almost lethal events from Clarity #1. In addition, her brother has developed some problem behavior since his unfortunate experience during Clarity (he was accuse of murder) Also, Clare now has to deal with her two love interests, Gabriel and Justin. And if that wasn't enough, she also got a stalker! Whoa!

I highly enjoyed Perception. This sequel brings back all the dynamism of Harrington's writing style that makes readers enjoy these books so much. The story flies from page to page leaving no interest in putting this book down! This time, the mystery revolts around a girls' disappearance who used to go to the same High School as Clare. But that's not all, the mystery expands to Clare's stalker and to the ghost his brother is suddenly able to listen to. Unfortunately, the mystery aspects on the plot are predictable. Yet, regardless its predictability, I still highly enjoyed this book!

The romance in Perception is subtle but constantly present. I certainly loved this aspect of the book! This makes the story even more compelling. I think the romance is very well distributed through all the book! The love interests, Justin and Gabriel, are definitely great characters and very different at the same time. Both of them are alluring and special in their own ways. I love the contrast between the two male protagonists and the different approaches they use to get to Clare. Clare, in the other hand, is dealing with different unexpected things that makes impossible for her to pick one of these two captivating guys.

I highly enjoyed the school life in this book. Homecoming, new friends, parties, etc! Sometimes, some paranormal books forget that school life is something very present in teenagers' life. Perception is absolutely a book that brings the paranormal into a teenager's every day life. I love this about Harrington's world! I love the big mix of contemporary mystery with the perfect paranormal dose that make these books so compelling!

Harrington's writings is very engaging and fast paced. Perception is a page-turner that will entirely hook readers through this YA paranormal mystery. I highly recommend Clarity and Perception to fans of The Body Finder! They will certainly fall in love with this series!
