Who would have guessed that four minutes could change everything?
Today should be one of the worst days of seventeen-year-old Hadley Sullivan's life. She's stuck at JFK, late to her father's second wedding, which is taking place in London and involves a soon to be step-mother that Hadley's never even met. Then she meets the perfect boy in the airport's cramped waiting area. His name is Oliver, he's British, and he's in seat 18C. Hadley's in 18A.
Twists of fate and quirks of timing play out in this thoughtful novel about family connections, second chances and first loves. Set over a 24-hour-period, Hadley and Oliver's story will make you believe that true love finds you when you're least expecting it
Your Heart will Burst Out of Your Chest!
The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight provides the perfect amount of drama with a generous amount of cuteness for every contemporary lover looking for an adorable, healthy and impossible-to-put-down read!
I have read many times that readers prefer slow growing romances more than instantaneous ones (count me in). Yet, The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight is exactly what the title says, love at first sight! Did this work with me? Oh my God yes! Jennifer E. Smith brilliantly crafts a fast, deep and meaningful love story that instantly dragged me in.
Hadley and Oliver are adorable! Smith does a flawlessly job developing this love at first sight that made me instantly fall for this book and Oh sweet Lord! if the statistics mentioned in this book are real, I'd like to spend more time in airports from now on (whether I travel or not) because seriously, who doesn't want to be part of such lovely story? However, The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight is more than a contemporary romance. In fact, there are some deep family issues in this story that Jennifer E. Smith explores through Hadley and Oliver's life. I think that the family issues and life circumstances Hadley and Oliver are going through, highly enhance the content of the story. I really loved the message of the book and the lesson the characters experience in this short 24 hours/236 pages. I'd love to talk in details about all of this, but I wont spoil anything and I certainly prefer if you read this sweet story by yourself! You won't regret it! Plus, Jennifer E. Smith will certainly leave you daydreaming about airports and British guys for a long while!
Beautiful and thoughtful, The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight will highly surprise readers with a 24 hours love story that goes beyond the typical girl meets boy romance. This book is sweet and beautiful in every single way and by the time you turn the last page, you will definitely feel that your heart is bursting out of your chest!
